Eunjae kindly took me the right bus – nonstop in 45 minutes from Suwon to Incheon Airport. Air Canada had already notified me of a three hour delay. I went to an Air Canada agent and told her my connection to Whitehorse in Vancouver was jeopardized. Within 15 minutes she re-booked me on Korean Airlines. It later turned out I wouldn’t have made my connection and would have made it home only at midnight the next day! Because of her exceptional service, I wanted to write a recommendation to her supervisor, but that scared her and she politely declined. The middle seat on Korean 71 was empty and I had an excellent conversation about Korean society with the lady sitting in the aisle seat. The following two images I took at Incheon Terminal 2.

Waiting for my connection in Vancouver, a sweet little blizzard came upon us – rare in Vancouver. Once we were all boarded on the full plane, the captain stated that we were number 10 for de-icing and it would take around 20 minutes until it was our turn (there are about five de-icing stations). It took an hour, and then another 15 minutes waiting for taxi clearance.

The skies opened up further North and now I’m back home. Adjusting to daily life from this fantastic trip will be a chore. It’s the Korean people who made it so exceptional.
