I first visited Moon Space Star Café with a friend. Today I came back. Why? Because I was intrigued by the unique atmosphere and the view of Seoul Forest Park; and because of this: Suddenly the electricity went out. The breaker box happened to be high above our table. I kind of shoved JiEun aside a bit, because I’m a lot taller and could easily reset the breaker which I did. Seven minutes later two free lattes appeared at our table as a thank you. It’s these experiences that make my day!
Today I came back and also had a conversation with JiEun, who owns the café with her Unnie (older sister). She is warm and welcoming, and the designer of the unique interior. Art and books, and interesting little details throughout the café. Plus the jazzy music is great! As with many cafés in densely populated Seoul, this one is on the second floor; which is great because the view of the park is better from here. The Café is a 10-minute walk from Ttukseom Station on subway Line 2.
